The video is awesome and I love the new website! I got all teary-eyed watching the video. Honestly, I had the most wonderful time in Kauai and the half marathon was the MOST ENJOYABLE race I’ve ever run! Can’t wait for Sept 2010! SO excited to be going back!

Had so much fun and was so tickled when the race director followed me on the course for a while–The wonderful people of Kauai really made the marathon so unique-and the keikies hula dancers-thanks eh, for letting me show my stuff to my friend–Mahalo Kauai, Beautiful Kauai!!

I toooo cried all the way through your video! WOW! I was married on Kauai 10 years ago and we just went back and re-peated our vows! I LOVE your island and didn’t want to leave the first time I saw it… This time I cried most the way home – it is HOME in my HEART! I am starting a new side business to raise money to run my second marathon with you all in Sept!!! Pray the money comes and that I train for this one… The first one I ran a month ago – I have a heart condition – don’t worry just pray for me cuase I am getting stronger everyday!!! :) The first marathon took me almost 8 hours and I PRAY this one takes half that time cause baby I want to spend the other four hours on your AMAZING beaches! Thanks for the AWESOME opportunity! OH and to allll of you signing up – stay long enough to take a helicopter ride, play the Prince golf course and scuba dive! They cost a little money BUT THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY! I fall asleep each night dreaming of Kauai and the BEAUTY that is alllllllllllll around you. The people are sooooooo nice and kind and well it is as close to HEAVEN that I have ever been… I miss you and pray to see you in 9 months. Sincerly, Susan Mathis and family John and Faith… Faith is only 7 but she training for your half marathon! Ephesians 3:21-21

This was the most challenging & grueling, most beautiful, most organized and most fun marathon I’ve ever participated in. Can’t wait to do it again!

I am wondering if anyone has any great training programs for the Kauai marathon. My husband signed up for the full, and I am still debating between the full and the half. This would be my first marathon (I’ve run two half marathons). I’m really nervous because I heard the course is extremely challenging, but I think with the right training program, I can do it! Any feedback you have would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

What a great video and website! I “chickened out” last year and ran Honolulu (my backyard) last year. This year I’m braving the hills! Seeing the video (and knowing already how beautiful Kauai is) really gets me excited for this race! Mahalo in advance for this great feeling of anticipation! I’ve heard such great things–I can’t wait to experience it myself!
