For four years in a row two national non-profits participated in The Kaua’i Marathon, A-T Childrens Project, as well as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s, “Team in Training”program.  Since 2009, over $1.2 million has been raised by national charity fund raising programs participating in The Kauai Marathon. Charities Challenge was represented at the 2012 event by founder Gary Westlund who is planning on group participation for the 2013 event.
